Buyer Beware!!!

Finding Sugar on Food Labels

If weight loss is your goal then you definitely want to read this. Sugar or Simple Carbs can be found in two places on a food label. The first is under the Carbohydrate section of the label and the other is ingredients. If any of the names listed below are the first 3-4 in that list of ingredients…beware. Ingredients are listed on labels in sequential order based on the amount of ingredient in that product: For example, if you by a bottle of apple juice listing 10 ingredients and the first ingredient listed on the label is high-fructose corn syrup but the last ingredient is apples that’s not apple juice its apple flavored sugar water. Instead, look for the apple juice that has apples towards the front of the ingredient listing and if you cannot find one of the names listed below…well that’s a good thing.
